Gestern Abend haben wir noch einige Zeit mit Nanette und Pat zusammengesessen und toll über Gott und die Welt geredet. Heute sind wir dann um 07:00 Uhr los Richtung Warrnambool. Wir hatten gestern noch eine Führung auf Middle Island gebucht. Dort passen entsprechend abrichtete Hund auf eine Kolonie kleiner Pinguine auf. Dank diesen Hunden ist diese durch Füchse fast ausgerottete Kolonie von 4 übrig gebliebenen Tieren in den letzten 10 Jahren auf ca. 150 Tiere angestiegen. Leider kommen die Pinguine erst gegen Abend an Land, es war aber trotzdem sehr interessant. Anschließend waren wir noch etwas Bummeln und dann in einem wunderschönen Restaurant am Meer Mittag essen. Bis wir dann wieder zu Hause waren, gab es noch mehrere Stops, Tea Time selbstverständlich, ein paar Lookouts und Geschäfte. Jetzt sind wir ein wenig platt und regenerieren für morgen, denn dann soll es nach Casterton gehen, ca. 60 km entfernt. Wir sind sehr sehr gespannt. Wetter ist immer noch bestens.

Yesterday evening we sat together for some time with Nanette and Pat and talked great about everything under the sun. Today,at 07:00 we were going towards Warrnambool. We had yesterday booked a Tour on Middle Iceland. There accordingly adjust trained dogs on a colony of small penguins. Thanks to these dogs, these nearly extinct by foxes colony has risen from 4 remaining animals in the past 10 years to about 150 animals. Unfortunately the penguins come ashore in the evening, but it was still very interesting. Then we were a little stroll and then eat in a beautiful seaside restaurant lunch. Until we got home, there were several stops, Tea Time course, a few lookouts and shops. Now we are a little flat and regenerate for tomorrow, because then it will go to Casterton, about 60 km away. Weather conditions are still at it's best.

Day 11 - Hamilton
Die Tage in Lorne waren herrlich und natürlich viel zu schnell vorbei. Wir haben am Strand schön auspannen können und was Wasser war herrlich erfrischend. Heute morgen sind wir dann nach einem letzten Frühstück in Grandma Shields Bakery nach Hamilton los. 3 Stunden dauerte die Fahrt und wir wurden bei Nanette und Pat herzlich begrüßt. Church Hill Villa ist ein fantastisches Haus, ich werde darüber die nächsten Tage berichten. Morgen ist eine Ausflug nach Warrnambool zur Middle Island geplant, Pinguine beobachten. Wird bestimmt interessant.

The days in Lorne were magnificent and of course much too fast. We recreated on the beach and water was wonderfully refreshing. This morning we went after a last breakfast at Grandma Shields Bakery to Hamilton. Three hours took the ride and we were warmly greeted at Nanette and Pat. Church Hill Villa is a fantastic house, I will report on the next days. Tomorrow a trip to Warrnambool for Middle Island ist planned to observe penguins. Will be interesting.

Day 8 - Lorne
Heute gibt es nicht viel zu erzählen. Wir sind nach dem Frühstück und Checkout losgefahren. Bevor es auf den Freeway ging, sind wir noch über einen Teil der Formel 1 Strecke gefahren. Einmal über die Zielgerade und ein paar weitere Kurven - mit 40 km/h. Hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Aufbauarbeiten für den Grand Prix sind in vollem Gange und es war richtig, diese Reise in Melbourne und nicht in Adelaide zu starten. In den Albert Park wären wir nicht mehr hinein gekommen.
Die Fahrt nach Lorne führte uns und dann über die Great Ocean Road an wunderschönen Stränden vorbei. Hier in Lorne sind sie nicht minder schön. Mit unserem Apartment hier (Cora Lynn Studio) haben wir auch echt Glück gehabt. Ganz toll. Jetzt ist Entspannen und Sonnenbaden angesagt. Bis die Tage wieder.

One time down the finish line and a few more curves - 40 km/h. Was funny. Construction works were in full swing and it was right to start this travel in Melbourne rather than in Adelaide. The Albert Park we would never made into it.
The drive to Lorne took us and then on the Great Ocean Road past beautiful beaches. Here in Lorne they are no less beautiful. With our apartment here (Cora Lynn Studio) we are really lucky. Now relax and sunbathe is announced. CU all later

Day 7 - Dandenong Ranges
Heute stand wieder ein Tagesausflug auf dem Programm: Dandenong Ranges. Um es kurz zu machen, es hat sich sehr gelohnt. Puffing Billy, Olinda Falls und Sky High waren absolut die Empfehlung wert. Allein die Fahrt von Belgrave nach Olinda: wunderschön. Steile Serpentinen durch hohen Baumbestand, So stellt man sich einen National Park vor. Wir haben den Abend dann noch mit einem leckeren Essen im Botanical ausklingen lassen. Wir sind fast ein wenig traurig, aus Melbourne weg zu müssen. Es war eine fantastische Woche und wir haben viel erlebt und gesehen. Morgen geht es für ein paar Tage nur zum Ausspannen und genießen nach Lorne. Einfach nur an den Strand, keine Ausflüge, warten was der Tag uns zu bieten hat.
Noch etwas in eigener Sache: aktuell poste ich hier nur Handy Fotos oder von der kleinen Kamera. Die anderen Fotos werde ich erst von zu Hause veröffentlichen, denn die wollen vorher entwickelt werden. Und dazu braucht es einen vernünftigen Monitor und nicht ein 10" Netbook. Ich hoffe, ihr versteht das.

Today again was a day trip on the program: Dandenong Ranges. To make it short, it was well worth it. Puffing Billy, Olinda Falls and Sky High were absolutely worth the recommendation. But the drive from Belgrave to Olinda: breathtaking. Steep switchbacks through high trees, how we imagine a National Park before. We let the evening then finish off with a delicious meal in the Botanical. We are almost a little sad to leave from Melbourne. It was a fantastic week and we have experienced a lot and seen. Tomorrow we will spend a few days just to relax and enjoy at Lorne. Just to the beach, no trips, wait what the day has to offer us.
BTW: currently I post here only mobile photos or from the small camera. The other photos I will publish when I'm back at home, because those pics need to be developed in advance. And this requires a reasonable monitor and not a 10" netbook. I hope you understand that.
